4. QB Deondre Francois, Florida State Seminoles

On Monday night, the Florida State Seminoles faced off against the Ole Miss Rebels in a battle of two of the top 11 teams in the country. The Rebels got off to a hot start, leading 28-13 at the half. Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly went nuts through two quarters, tossing three touchdown passes.

After a fiery speech by former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston at halftime, the current QB of the team came out blazing. Making the first start of his collegiate career, Deondre Francois showed America why he is the new signal-caller for the Seminoles. He put the team on his back, and led Florida State to a huge win.

Francois actually closed out the first half with his first touchdown pass, hanging in the pocket and delivering a 16-yard strike to Travis Rudolph. He showed incredible poise all night long, throwing for over 400 yards in the game. He would end the third quarter the same way, hitting Ryan Izzo for a two-yard TD.

Overcoming a 22-point deficit is hard to do against any team, but to do it against the 11th-ranked team in the country is another thing altogether. He is going to continue to get better every week, and Seminoles fans are hoping he can go on to have the kind of career Winston had. If Monday night is any indication, it appears head coach Jimbo Fisher has found another star.
