Dominating Wins vs. Quality Opponents

Alabama entered the 2016 NCAA season as the No. 1 team in the country, as the Crimson Tide should be. The Crimson Tide lost a lot of important personnel this past offseason, but that did not matter in their Week 1 shellacking of the USC Trojans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Alabama crushed USC’s soul with a 52-6 beat down of the Trojans. While Jalen Hurts and Blake Barnett looked respectable at quarterback for the Crimson Tide, the star offensive player for Alabama was wideout ArDarius Stewart, who had four catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns.

Offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin made it a point to annihilate his former employer in this neutral-site game. Alabama put 465 yards worth of offense on an undisciplined Trojans team. Head coach Nick Saban and new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt help USC to just 194 yards of total offense in this one-sided blowout.
