23. Atlanta Falcons

Desmond King . 23. player. 44.
Dan Quinn now knows he has at least one dependable cornerback he can leave on an island in Desmond Trufant, who emerged to become one of the best in football in 2015. Coming from Seattle, there is no doubt the head coach is a big fan of building up the back end of a defense. Keanu Neal should make a good addition at safety. However, the best defenses often need require two corners who can plan tough man coverage without frequent need for help over the top.

That is what the drafting of Desmond King would do. He may not have the rangy 6’3″ frame of a Richard Sherman, but he makes quarterbacks just as nervous about attack him. King is a master ballhawk as proven by his eight interceptions a year ago.

Teams that decide to test him run the high risk of him erasing any hopes they had of points on that drive. King has been well-coached in advanced techniques. He can plan man and zone well and has enough speed to stick with receivers down the field.
. CB. Iowa
