4. Buffalo Bills

DE. Michigan State. Malik McDowell . 4. player. 16.
There is a lingering fog over the Buffalo Bills at this point. Most agree that head coach Rex Ryan is very much on the hot seat in 2016. If he can’t deliver a winning season for this team, especially with Tom Brady out the first month, then it’s believed ownership will push for a change to be made. That could have a drastic impact on where the Bills focus in the 2017 draft.

Perhaps the new coaches won’t view Tyrod Taylor in the same light. Still, for the time being it’s best to assume Ryan will be back.

If that’s the case then it’s best to assume he’ll continue trying to build the type of defense he wants. Rex isn’t dumb. He knows if he’s got the pieces, he can stop anybody. Malik McDowell would be a major step in the right direction.

The Michigan State defensive tackle has plenty to offer. At 6-foot-6 he has tremendous length and the frame to add more weight if required. He’s strong enough to hold the points of attack but is even better when he’s allowed to get up the field. He makes tackles for loss seem routine and is improving rapidly as a pass rusher. No doubt he’d be an ideal compliment to a healthy Shaq Lawson.
