You thought I was kidding, didn’t you? The Blue Devils enjoyed the FCS showcase this past weekend and dominated North Carolina Central, so it’s still way too early to plan a possible bowl game for the men from Durham.

For some, this may be way too high for a team that actually lost their game, but I’m willing to give the Tar Heels some credit. They were ahead late in the fourth quarter in a game that they probably shouldn’t have won against Georgia. Here at FanSided, we give credit to the level of competition when doing these.

The Justin Fuente era has started, and it started in a big way with a win over Liberty in the opener. Yeah, I know it was Liberty, but the Hokies didn’t skip a beat on offense, defense and special teams. We’ll know more if they are truly for real this week against Tennessee.

For a while, it looked like the Yellow Jackets were going to fly all the way to Ireland for nothing as they were within a minute of losing their opener. Thankfully for the men from Atlanta, a last-second touchdown got them the win and a current spot as the top ranked team (right now) in the ACC standings.

The Mark Richt era is underway in the 305 and it started with a 67-point victory in their opener over a team from Tallahassee. Okay, it was FCS opponent Florida A&M, but it did enough to get people to think that Brad Kayaa and company might have a chance to turn things around and actually win nine games this season.
