4. Keenan Allen

For Philip Rivers, Keenan Allen is more than just a wide receiver. Allen is the kind of wideout that Rivers has been waiting his whole career to play with. Throughout Rivers’ illustrious career, he has been surrounded by future Hall of Fame Tight End Antonio Gates, and future Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson at running back. Never has he had an explosive receiver like Allen, until now.

Since his rookie year in 2013, Allen has gotten better every season. Though he racked up more yards as a rookie than he did in 2014, he still progressed as a receiver. During the 2015 season, Allen was on his way to a prolific third season, but a lacerated kidney ended his campaign. He is fully healthy in 2016, and some believe he will be a top-10 receiver in the league.

The fact of the matter is that this game may get out of hand, and Rivers is going to have to throw the ball a lot. If the team needs a big play, or a reliable receiver, Allen is going to be the first choice for Rivers. This could be one of those games where Allen gets double-digit catches. Remember, the Chiefs have young cornerbacks, who Rivers will try to expose early on.

Allen is only 24 years old, and he is coming into his own. The injury he suffered last season was downright scary, but he is a gamer, so expect him to go full tilt on Sunday. Expect at least eight catches out of Allen, with around 100 yards and a touchdown.
