2. Travis Kelce

The book on Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is he loves to throw to the tight ends. Luckily for him, he has one of the best in the business in Travis Kelce. Last season, Smith targeted Kelce over 100 times, as the tight end put together his best season as a pro.

Making his first Pro Bowl in 2015, Kelce caught 72 passes for over 870 yards. That is some great production from his position, as he also added five touchdowns for the second straight season. However, he has struggled against the Chargers in the past, but the main reason for that is no longer with the team.

Former Chargers safety Eric Weddle would spy on Kelce, making it hard for the tight end to get in space. Weddle is currently a member of the Baltimore Ravens, so Kelce should be able to have a productive game on Sunday. The Chargers are not very good on defense, and losing Weddle is going to leave a huge hole in their secondary.

If Smith has a good game on Sunday, then Kelce will likely be kind to fantasy owners. With New England Patriots Rob Gronkowski, and Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert both out in Week 1, Kelce becomes the top player at his position. Put him in your lineup and watch yourself dominate that positional match-up.
