1. Spencer Ware

Talk about being in the right place, at the right time. Throughout his short NFL career, Spencer Ware has feasted on the San Diego Chargers, and he will get another chance on Sunday. His opportunity came because Jamaal Charles is still not 100 percent from his torn ACL, and Ware is going to run with it.

During the 2015, Ware faced the Chargers twice. He was absolutely explosive in the first meeting, rushing for 96 yards on only 11 carries. He scored two touchdowns, leading the Chiefs to a 33-3 victory. The win brought the Chiefs to .500, and spring-boarded them to the AFC playoffs.

He will be the main guy in the backfield on Sunday, not only because Charles is still hurting, but also Charcandrick West is not at 100 percent. Ware should be a RB1 in any format, and could go for multiple touchdowns once again against the Bolts. The Chargers are going to be terrible against the run in 2016, and Ware will get the first crack at them.

This game is likely to go in Kansas City’s favor, and they could be running the ball a lot in the second half. Ware is going to get the bulk of the carries, and could also be targeted in the passing game. Smith likes to keep it simple, and there should be a heavy dose of Ware on the menu on Sunday. Expect 100 yards and a touchdown or two in Week 1.
