On the 15th anniversary of one of the deadliest attacks on US soil, Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz will wear special 9/11 cleats to honor the victims.
September 11th is a day that many remember where they were when they heard the horrifying news. Now, 15 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, New York Giants receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz will wear cleats to honor those who died 15 years ago today.
Each player will wear two different pairs of cleats. One will be for pre-game, and the other is for during the game. Cruz’s pre-game pair features FDNY on one cleat and two axes and the number nine on the other.
The FDNY and nine are a very fitting tribute. Around the nation, it will be an emotional day as the 2016 NFL season kicks off. Each stadium will remember those lost on 9/11.
