In that game, Florida State will be trying to prove that they are not only the best team in the ACC but also a playoff team for this season. Through two games, the ‘Noles have done their job and are still a better team than Louisville – though that margin is probably shrinking on a daily basis.

For the Seminoles, it’s all about getting Deondre Francois comfortable leading a team with such high expectations. The redshirt freshman quarterback made light work of Charleston Southern last week and did everything he was supposed to do – except throw his first ever interception.

The biggest question this week is going to be the health of Derwin James, who was still playing in last week’s blowout win over the Seminoles up by over 30 points in the second half. If he can’t go against the Cardinals, it would be a gigantic loss for the ‘Noles and likely make it a toss-up game as to who will win.

If Florida State can win – with or without Derwin James – it would be huge as well as, since the team would leave the state of Florida just two more times in the regular season. That why this game may, with all due respect to Clemson in late October, be the most important of the entire season if you’re a Seminole.
