5. Michigan Wolverines

Michigan hasn’t been tested at all in 2016. 63 points against Hawaii and 51 points against Central Florida who was just out classed in each aspect of the game. I know Michigan’s out of conference schedule gets a “step up” this week against Colorado. Look down the road at an October 1st matchup with Wisconsin. There’s the first real test for this Michigan team.

Last game: Win vs. UCF 51-14

Next game: vs. Colorado (9/17)

4. Florida State Seminoles

FSU decided to be FSU this past weekend and that’s bad news for the rest of America. A 52-8 smacking of Charleston Southern has the Noles looking good heading into their showdown with Louisville this week. A win here could give the Noles another high-quality win to go with their Week 1 win against Ole Miss.

Last game: Win vs. Charleston Southern 52-8

Next game: At Louisville (9/17)

3. Clemson Tigers

For a moment, “Clemsoning” had some back to Death Valley. The Tigers struggled with Troy this past Saturday only winning by six points. That’s not going to cut it and it’s one reason they dropped a spot when weighing who was the second best team in America.

Last game: Win vs. Troy 30-24

Next game: vs. South Carolina State (9/17)

2. Ohio State Buckeyes

Sure, it’s Tulsa and yes I know it’s Ohio State. Still, the Buckeyes looked damned good and might be playing some of the best football north of the Mason-Dixon line. They will have to travel to Norman this weekend to face off with Oklahoma in a game that could be the game J.T. Barrett needs to thrust himself into the Heisman race.

Last game: Win vs. 48-3 Tulsa

Next game: At Oklahoma (9/17)

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

What do you give the man who has everything? In this case, you have Nick Saban something to complain about. Although his Crimson Tide are the best team in America right now and the No.1 team in this week’s FanSided25, he’s still unhappy. I mean, sure Nick. I can give you an all expenses paid trip to Oxford this week and you get to face Ole Miss. Maybe that will make him happy.

Last game: Win vs. Western Kentucky 38-10

Next game: At Ole Miss (9/17)
