11. Tennessee Titans

35. The Titans know they have something good going on defense, but outside of Jurrell Casey they really don’t have much in the way of star power. Brian Orakpo is past his prime while the secondary feature several solid players but no Pro Bowl-caliber types. Until that changes this unit isn’t going to get the respect it wants. Having already added Tim Williams to that front seven, they strike again. This time to give Casey help up front.
Malik McDowell is one of those defensive line types that are tough to pin down. That’s because they have a body type that fits one mold but a skill set that fits another. He’s got a long 6-foot-6 frame but weighs under 300 pounds. People aren’t sure if he’s a defensive end or a defensive tackle. Given his ability to penetrate up the field and cause havoc, one could say he’s both. McDowell can move inside and outside. He’s strong enough to stop the run and a handful when allowed to rush the passer.
. DT. Michigan State. Malik McDowell . 11. player
