15. Dallas Cowboys

Derek Barnett . 15. player. 123. This should not be a big surprise at all. The Dallas Cowboys are in the midst of a mini crisis at their defensive end position. Two of their key contributors in Demarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory are serving four-game suspensions. Gregory may serve a 10-game one on top of that, not to mention a stint in rehab. The unreliability of those two pretty much makes it clear that Dallas has to look edge rusher early in 2017 for both talent and depth.
In terms of physical dimensions, proven ability and scheme fit there is no doubt Derek Barnett is the guy they’re looking for. The Tennessee defensive end can play the 4-3 position as a an edge setter in the running game but retains the good burst, violent hands and quickness to apply pressure. His array of pass rush moves continue to grow. There isn’t any area of his game that can be called weak. Just a good, rock solid player with upside. Dallas needs that.
. DE. Tennessee
