19. Winnipeg Jets

The Jets have only been in Winnipeg since 2011, but that doesn’t mean their fans aren’t loyal. They average about 15,000 fans per home game, which is in the bottom half of the league, but team has had little success.

Since 2011, they have made the playoffs only once, and they were swept in the first round by the Anaheim Ducks. But the tide could now be turning for the Jets with their solid squad of players.

Blake Wheeler led them in points last year with 78 (26 G, 52 A) and Mark Scheifele led the team in goals with 29. The longer they’re in the league, the more players will want to go to Winnipeg.

That’s just how it goes. The only way to get fans is to make a name for yourself and show you can compete on a consistent basis. The Jets fan base will continue to grow as the team becomes more successful, but the fans they already have are as loyal as any.  And it has only been five years.

While they are not currently the most loyal fan base in the NHL, they have a chance to compete for that spot in a couple of years.
