29. New York Knicks

The New York Knicks have to be one of the most frustrating teams in sports. They give fans hope every year and never deliver. They have been mediocre the past few seasons because of a lack of talent, but with the signings of Joakim Noah and Courtney Lee, and the trade for Derrick Rose to go along with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis, expect attendance to skyrocket this season.

Not that it has been low recently. The Knicks averaged 19,812 fans a home game last season, the fifth best in the NBA. No matter the record or the score, Knick fans are always in the building. Whether it’s to see a certain player or just to soak in the atmosphere at Madison Square Garden, fans love cheering on their Knickerbockers.

The Knicks also have one of the best collections of celebrity fans of any team. Spike Lee is probably the most notable, and you can see him courtside every game with all his gear on. Who can forget the Spike vs. Reggie Miller days? That really put him in the public eye and he has been there ever since.

While the Knicks have had a few bad years in a row and aren’t expected to do anything special this season, it doesn’t mean MSG will be empty. Fans will gather every night with high hopes their team can take down LeBron James and the Cavs and make a miracle run to the NBA Finals. It’s very, very unlikely but as a fan, you gotta believe.
