3. A night game in Norman

If this game was being played at The Horseshoe in Columbus, expect Ohio State to be a seven to 10-point home favorite. Though Oklahoma is still the underdog in this one at +3.0, Las Vegas believes that the home crowd of the Sooners will factor greatly in this close ball game.

Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium offers one of the best home-field advantages in the Big 12 and in the Power 5. Ohio Stadium acts the same way for the Buckeyes, but this one is in Norman: edge Sooners.

Adding more intrigue to this high-profile game, kickoff is a 7:30 PM ET. The second half of this ball game will be played under the bright lights in Norman. Night games usually give the home team a decided advantage. An already raucous Oklahoma fanbase will have had all afternoon to tailgate and get fired up for Ohio State.

Yes, under head coach Urban Meyer the Buckeyes will be well-coached and better equipped to handle a tough road environment in the early part of the year. However, it is a long way from Columbus to Norman. This will be the only time any player on the Buckeyes will play at Oklahoma in their college career. How can they know what to expect if they’ve never been to Norman before?
