6. Georgia Bulldogs

It has been 36 seasons since the Georgia Bulldogs won a National Championship and 34 since the Bulldogs have played for it all. Those are two facts that are always on the mind of the restless souls comprising Dawg Nation.

College football is king down south and Atlanta is the epicenter of the sport in the 21st century. A short hour and a half drive east brings you to one to the iconic college towns in the country. On fall Saturdays, there is really nothing like the scene in the Classic City.

The sea of Red and Black occupying Sanford Stadium makes this one of the toughest road environments in the SEC. There may not be a college football fanbase that gets more agitated by a loss than the Bulldogs. They’ve been conditioned to know it is inevitably coming every fall without fail but still find a way to be soul-crushed multiple times annually.

Still, Dawg Nation is as proud as it has ever been. In defeat, fans of Georgia football go home and cry/pray to their Dooley/Munson/Walker shrine, wanting the next transformative player to set foot on campus in Athens. Georgia might have the most tortured fan base of any Power 5 blue-blood. When Georgia wins a national title, who knows what is going to happen in the Peach State?
