2. Alabama Crimson Tide

To say college football is a religion in Alabama is an understatement. On fall Saturdays in the buckle of the Bible Belt, the Alabama Crimson Tide go out and destroy teams on the gridiron. Alabama fans love every second of this unique brand of domination.

The Southeast is about as football crazy as a geographical region can get. Professional sports didn’t make it to this region of the country until the late 1960s in Atlanta. Alabama never got a major professional team, but that really doesn’t matter. Crimson Tide fans rival any fanbase they are put up against.

All Alabama does is win National Championships. Two of college football’s Mount Rushmore coaches have won at a ridiculous level in Tuscaloosa: current head coach Nick Saban and the greatest of all-time in Paul “Bear” Bryant.

Alabama is rarely bad, but even if times of great decline, the Crimson Tide faithful remain steadfast to their favorite football team. Of all the elite programs in the Power 5, Alabama has the most rabid fans and it’s not even close. Alabama loves the Crimson Tide and nobody dare tells them otherwise.
