Evidently, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is quite the picky eater.

If you keep up with Tom Brady’s eating habits, you already know that he doesn’t touch coffee, dairy, or tomatoes. But strawberries? According to an interview with New York MagazineBrady has never eaten one in his life:

“I’ve never eaten a strawberry in my life. I have no desire to do that.”

This latest reveal stands out against against the traditionally “unhealthy” items that Brady has eradicated from his diet. But in contrast to dairy, coffee, and cheeseburgers, strawberries are pretty harmless. In fact, they are quite nutritious! Let’s take a look at all the juicy goodness Brady is missing out on:

Vitamin C

One cup of strawberries contains over 100 percent daily value of vitamin C, and it’s only 50 calories!

Low glycemic load

This means that although strawberries have a lot of sugar in them, they also have a lot of fiber, which helps keep your blood sugar levels steady.

Good for your bones

Strawberries not only help maintain a healthy bone structure, but they also help you to absorb calcium.

I’m not a nutritionist, but to me strawberries seem like a healthy addition to any diet, especially that of an elite football player. Plus, who could say no to a delicious, juicy strawberry after a day of training?

But hey, maybe I’m missing something. Brady needs to step up his fruit intake. The guy is 39 years old and is going to need every bit of strength to keep Jimmy Garoppolo from stealing his job.
