4. San Diego Chargers

WR. Clemson. Mike Williams . 4. player. 13. There is no getting around it. The San Diego Chargers were dealt a serious gut punch when they lost Keenan Allen for the season. He was one of those few pieces they could absolutely not afford to lose. Philip Rivers is good at adjusting but like any quarterback he can only do so much without his best weapons. Throw in the monumental pressure on the coaching staff and a distracting 1st round pick? Not good.
The loss of Allen does something else to the Chargers as well. It exposes how thin they are at the receiver position. They’ve been living off him and an assortment of free agents for too long. It’s way past due for this team to grab a legitimate pass target for Rivers. Somebody who can ensure another loss of Allen won’t be so devastating the next time it were to happen.

If he stays healthy, there isn’t anybody else in the 2017 class who is going to top Mike Williams. He is the most talented wide receiver. Not only does he run solid routes and have an excellent pair of hands, his size-speed proportions will get coaches excited as well. He’s the kind of talent who makes highlight reel plays look routine. A go-to guy whenever the quarterback needs a money catch.
