Andre Drummond-Center

The Pistons success and most of their offense comes as a result of the continuing growth of their big-man Andre Drummond. While Jackson and Harris are nice pieces in the Pistons fantasy basketball outlook and Morris and KCP can be roster-fillers, Drummond is a fantasy centerpiece.

Drummond was a beast last year with numerous 20-20 games. He averaged 16.2 points and 14.8 rebounds a night while adding in 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks as well. While his numbers are amazing, the one sacrifice his owners have to be ready to make is with his free throw percentage.

Drummond is a top-5 center and can be a great option in the third or fourth round of your draft. You’ll need to plan around his abysmal free throw percentage, but make sure you understand how your league penalized for missed FT. If it’s just one category, you may want to punt that category for all the good things Drummond brings in other areas.

Based on his huge upside, Drummond should definitely be a starter in all formats. I definitely wouldn’t take him over Karl-Anthony Towns or DeMarcus Cousins, but he, Al Horford, and DeAndre Jordan make up the second tier of centers which usually go around the end of the third or beginning of the fourth round.
