Other Bench players

Aron Baynes: Detroit expects Baynes to opt out of his contract after this season which is why the Pistons brought in Marjonovic as an insurance policy. The six-foot-ten PF from Washington State had some good games while filling in for Drummond and also had a solid Olympics with Australia. While Drummond takes most of the minutes in the middle, Baynes remains a backup without enough time to be fantasy relevant.

Henry Ellenson: Ellenson is behind Harris and Leuer on the Detroit depth chart and in our Pistons fantasy basketball outlook as a result. The Marquette-Alum was a nice grab with the 18th pick in last year’s NBA draft, but he won’t play enough to contribute right away. For dynasty leagues, he’s a stash option, but stay away in re-draft leagues.

Reggie Bullock: As a shooter off the bench, Bullock offers a different kind of boost to the second-unit than Stanley Johnson. Johnson will likely get most of the minutes early in the season, though, leaving Bullock buried deep on the waiver wire. If Johnson struggles, Bullock could offer some nice scoring sizzle off the bench, but you can definitely afford to wait and see before investing.

Lorenzo Brown: The team’s third PG battle is between Brown and Ray McCallum. Right now it looks like Brown has the inside track after a strong summer league. He isn’t someone to worry about for fantasy purposes unless Jackson or Smith goes down with an injury.
