Jacoby Brissett scores incredible rushing touchdown (Video)
New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett scored an impressive rushing touchdown early against the Houston Texans.
The New England Patriots entered Thursday night’s contest against the Houston Texans as a rare underdog. With the team down to third-string quarterback Jacoby Brissett against a good Texans defense, there wasn’t a lot of faith. Having an unproven quarterback proved to be no issue early.
After the Patriots recovered a fumble on a kickoff return from Charles James, Brissett made the Texans pay. Rolling out of the pocket, Brissett had nothing but green field in front of him.
Andre Hal tried to force him out of bounds with the shoulder, but Brissett brushed him aside and went straight into the end zone for six. Suddenly, there was a new hero at Gillette Stadium.

For all the doubts about Brissett coming into the game, his running score eased them. He showed tremendous poise and the Patriots’ coaching staff did a great job of calling what suits him best out on the field.
As for the Texans, they might want to do a little more than throwing a shoulder at him. They also might want to consider bringing up a safety to spy on him. If not, it could be a long night for them.
