Based on recent history the Atlanta Falcons defense would struggle early. Thankfully, the offense has matched them point for point, literally having a point differential of zero.
Injuries will be a major factor for Atlanta, particularly on defense. De’Vondre Campbell and Paul Worrilow are both out for the Monday night game, while Tyler Starr is on injured reserve.

The biggest name people will be keeping an eye on is wide receiver Julio Jones, who declared himself health enough to play. He is still listed as questionable, but the wide receiver sounded more optimistic of his chances to see the field. Now how much will he play against a struggling Saints secondary? That is a much different question.

With Julio Jones now paired up with wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, the Atlanta Falcons have the most passing yards per game through two matchups. Matt Ryan is one of the top passing yards per game quarterbacks in the league. This season he is first in the league in average passing yards per game, and is the 16th ranked quarterback by Pro Football Focus.

Something that must improve is the Falcons third down offense. Atlanta converted just half of their third down attempts.

This game will mark the anniversary of the reopening of the Superdome following Hurricane Katrina. Winning on the road against one of the best passers of all time would be a major moment for the Dan Quinn era. This game will kick off on Monday night from New Orleans.
. 1-1. Previous: 18th.
