1-2. Previous: 1st. Arizona Cardinals. 10. team. 32. The Arizona Cardinals were my number one team last week after losing a close game to the Patriots in the season opener and dominating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carson Palmer threw four interceptions in the loss, and failed to find any receivers for a score. Palmer finished 26-of-50 with 287 yards in the loss.
Second year running back David Johnson out of Northern Iowa had two touchdowns in the loss, both in the final minutes of the second and third quarter. Johnson finished with 83 rushing yards on 19 carries for Bruce Arians’ Cardinals.

A positive sign from the offense despite a lack of scoring was John Brown finally having a decent game. The speedy Brown led the team with 70 receiving yards after having just 22 in his previous two games combined.

Despite allowing 33 points to a Buffalo Bills team that just fired their offensive coordinator, the Cardinals filled up the box score. They finished with four sacks thanks to Chandler Jones, Tony Jefferson, Markus Golden, and Kevin Minter. Jefferson finished with nine tackles, but the rest of the defense could not contain running back LeSean McCoy.

Patrick Peterson had a highlight reel interception along the sideline where he caught the ball with one hand while walking a tight rope down the line.

Third downs were one of the Cardinals downfalls, as they were just 5-15 Sunday morning.

Arizona gets a chance at redemption when they host the Los Angeles Rams Sunday afternoon. Watch out Case Keenum, because this team will be hungry for a win.
