Seattle Seahawks. 8. team. 36. For a minute you thought the Seattle Seahawks season was over when Russell Wilson went down with a knee injury. The quarterback put on a knee brace and finished out the game, but will receive an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. Wilson says he does not believe the knee injury is serious, giving Seattle Seahawks fans and players a sigh of relief. When Russell Wilson was on the field against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, he completed 15-of-23 pass attempts with over 240 yards. When Wilson had to come out of the game to have his knee examined, undrafted free agent Trevone Boykin entered the game and completed 7/9 pass attempts. Wilson and Boykin each threw a touchdown, finding Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham throughout the course of the game. With Marshawn Lynch retired (for now) the Seahawks drafted C.J. Prosise and Alex Collins to complement Thomas Rawls and Christine Michael. With Rawls and Procise out with injuries, Michael got the carries Sunday against the 49ers. He made the most of his opportunity, scoring two touchdowns and rushing for over 100 yards on 20 carries. Alex Collins, who was drafted out of Arkansas in May, had just four carries for 12 yards. He also had two receptions for 19 yards. While Seattle did not record a sack, linebacker Bobby Wagner did intercept a Blaine Gabbert pass on a short throw intended for Patton. Safety Kam Chancellor finished the game with a team high eight tackles, followed by DeShawn Shead with seven. On special teams Tyler Lockett continues to impress, returning three punts for a total of 90 yards. Having an electric player like him who can flip the field has made Seattle extremely dangerous and forces punters to try and avoid the second year wide receiver. The Seattle Seahawks will now travel to New York to face the Jets Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET. This could be a trap game for the Seahawks with that long travel and loss of time.. 2-1.
