1. Jeff Driskel

While John Brantley was the first starting quarterback to bust in Florida since Tim Tebow, Jeff Driskel is the one Florida quarterback that epitomized just how bad it has been in Gainesville under center since 2010.

Driskel was the No. 1 pro-style prospect of the 2011 recruiting class. He was a five-star recruit and the Gatorade National Player of the Year. He had a certain, undeniable swagger about him in his early days at Florida. Man, did he fail to live up to the hype in college…

He would play four years at Florida (2011-14) and never passed for more than 1,646 yards and 12 touchdowns in any season. Driskel would break his leg against the Tennessee Volunteers in 2013. This allowed him a fifth-year of eligibility in 2015.

Driskel came back in 2014 and was benched in favor of Treon Harris. He would then transfer to Louisiana Tech and throw for 4,026 yards, 27 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in one season with the Bulldogs. Those numbers were better than all four years Driskel played in Florida combined. Will Muschamp still has his job in Gainesville if Driskel could have done anything as an SEC quarterback.
