5. Indianapolis Colts

OLB. Alabama. Tim Williams . 5. player. 46. Nothing about what the Indianapolis Colts have done this season can be categorized as easy. They lost a game to a team they should’ve beaten. They got hammered by a Broncos team they used to own and narrowly gained their first win over a banged up Chargers team with seconds to spare. It just doesn’t feel like the Colts will be a true AFC threat by the end of the season, even with Andrew Luck.
Of course offensive line will be a big topic selecting this high since Luck continues to face a lot of pressure. Tackle would be a great help, but the fact is there really aren’t any tackles in the 2017 class that look worthy of a top 5 pick at this point. On the other hand they could certainly use a youth infusion to their pass rush. Somebody who can fit their 3-4 as an outside linebacker.

Alabama standout Tim Williams has established himself as one of the best pure pass rushers in college football. Looking at his frame, it’s clear he’s built like a linebacker. He’s fast off the snap, aggressive, brings a high motor and shows the hard work needed to shed blocks and get to the quarterback. Put him on that fast dome turf with plenty of crowd noise and he could wreak havoc.
