10. Columbia, SC

Columbia, SC is an interesting town. There’s rough areas and it doesn’t have the urban upside of Chicago, Boston or Atlanta, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great place for a college campus. Between the extremely high Greek presence at the University of South Carolina and the plethora of bars, there’s never a dull night. The “Horseshoe,” the center of USC’s campus, is one of the most scenic places of any campus in the United States. The palm trees that litter the campus and Columbia are there as a constant reminder you really are in the south.

They said it:

Alifia, Business Major:

"Cola is great because of college football. The school spirit is insane here and the campus is beautiful. Off campus, there’s lots of fun things to do. The riverwalk by campus is awesome to go tubing and downtown is fun for those who want to party but it also has all these cute boutiques and restaurants. The Vista is like a fancier area – so freaking pretty and such good food. But, mainly football, yeah."
