4. Justin Timberlake and The Lonely Island

Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake collaborated on the Lonely Island’s follow up to “D**k in a Box,” called “3-Way, The Golden Rule.”  Timberlake is a long shot since his last halftime appearance with Janet Jackson resulted in the infamous “Wardrobe Malfunction.”  CBS and the NFL condemned the action and of course Timberlake and Jackson stuck to their malfunction story.  Justin Timberlake is such a huge star though it may be hard for the NFL to deny him.

The Lonely Island boys are a pretty hot commodity right now with their hugely popular hit movie “Popstar.”  A comedy performance would also be a new twist to the standard big budget production.

The song may be a little too provocative for the primetime viewers but I’m guessing that booking Lady Gaga is a calculated move.  She will bring lavish costumes and wild stage exploits and the censors will be on high alert.

3-Way is about Justin Timberlake and Lonely Island frontman Andy Samberg having a menage a trois with Lady Gaga. Not your usual Super Bowl entertainment, but maybe it’s time to push the envelope in the name of humor?
