2. New Kids on the Block

A nostalgic pick for Lady Gaga and all the viewers would be New Kids on the Block or NKOTB as they are affectionately known. I’m sure the 30-year-old Gaga grew up on NKTOB just like every other girl her age. They started the whole boy band craze that took over pop music for almost a decade. The halftime show has become geared towards fans of pop music and these guys are the originators.

Gaga and NKOTB have a song together called “Big Girl Now,” where the boys get naughtier than normal. This adult themed song may not be the perfect fit for the halftime show but the censors have to be kept on their toes.

As we have seen lately, the special guests on the halftime show tend to perform their own songs instead of collaborations. So I’m looking forward to hearing the old songs from the New Kids like “Step by Step” and the smash hit “Hangin’ Tough.” If Lady Gaga wants to really hear a few million middle aged women screech, get the New Kids on stage with you and wear earplugs.
