2. Christian McCaffrey has dropped out of Heisman race

Stanford has been rather unimpressive this season. If anyone watched Stanford’s first few games of the season this year, then they should have known that Washington was going to beat them handily. Even worse now, it could be a disappointing year for Stanford.

It’s a bit of a step back and Washington is clearly the best team in the conference. It also means the end of the Heisman chances for Christian McCaffrey. While he has been good this year, he hasn’t put up the insane numbers that put him in the conversation.

Now, he will have to face adversity along with the rest of his team and finish out the season strong. They have to also hope Washington can slip up not once, but twice. That’s a tall order and it’s not likely to swing in Stanford’s favor.

It’s a shame McCaffrey won’t end his college career with a Heisman. If there’s any good news for him, he can go collect a paycheck in the NFL next year. He’s expected to be drafted fairly high next year.
