42. Chip Kelly continues to prove he is a college coach. While he preaches efficiency in all facets of the game, his offense requires perfection and runs like a machine. If one cog is off, the entire system falls apart. Without a reliable quarterback in San Francisco, the biggest cog for the system is non-existent. Having players who are in their 30’s play at full speed won’t help, even if they’re in the best shape of their lives.
Next week: With their next game being on Thursday, the defense and offensive line will have no time to recover since Kelly practices at full speed during the week. Not having NaVarro Bowman, who looks to have suffered a major Achillies injury, quarterbacking the defense will create a massive hole for the Cardinals in a prime time game next week. San Francisco will be at a major advantage with Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer currently under the concussion protocol.

Playoff hopes: Between traveling to Arizona and having a short week, the 49ers should be prepared for a long Monday night. They’ll need a big win if they want to stay in the playoff hunt, but most likely those slim hopes will quickly fade away.
. 1-3. Previous: . San Francisco 49ers. 31. team
