The New Orleans Saints are hanging by a thin lifeline. If not for another Drew Brees comeback, they could easily be staring at an 0-4 start to their season. Nevertheless there are serious question about the past, present and future of this organization if they can get things turned around. The Falcons are leaving them far behind in the division and the wild card race will be fierce. They just might not have the manpower to pull it off.

Most of the problem of course stem from their terrible defense. Week after week opponents seem to have no trouble moving the ball or scoring points on them. The pass rush can’t get home enough. The secondary can’t cover. It really is a mess. Not to mention Dennis Allen being the defensive coordinator, something that doesn’t look like the greatest solution at this point. So despite the QB questions, this team needs help on that side of the ball.

Often the best way to jump start a defense is via the pass rush. Cameron Jordan has been their one-man band for too long and they’re wasting his best years. Somebody must be placed in that front seven who can take advantage of his presence to help disrupt what is now a loaded division of top quarterbacks. Tim Williams has some off-the-field concerns, but he’s a dynamic edge rusher with speed, explosion, athleticism and violent hands.
. OLB. Alabama. Tim Williams . 9. player. 15
