1. Charlie Strong

You have to feel bad for Charlie Strong. After the win over Notre Dame, everyone thought Texas football was back. It turns out Notre Dame just wasn’t that good and neither are the Longhorns. While the team has talent, they are not executing on the field and it has put their coach back on the hot seat.

This week, the Longhorns will take on the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry. Strong’s team got the better of the Sooners last year, but now he he needs his team to do it again. If his team drops another one this week and has a losing record, then Strong might want to start packing his boxes.

There’s not going to be much more patience for him from the boosters at the program. They’ve give him his chances and now it’s looking like the same thing all over again. He’s got to win Saturday.

His team has to move up the standings in the conference, as they are currently seventh. If they get lower than seventh, the team will put the full-court press on for Tom Herman. Everyone in the world knows the Longhorns are going to try and bring him up from Houston if they can. Strong has to coach his team to victory or it’s game over.
