It seems like Leonard Fournette can not get out of college quick enough. The star running back for the LSU Tigers has had a decent season in the Bayou, but nothing like what was expected of him during the preseason. Many believed he would rush his way to a Heisman Trophy, but the 2016 season has been a bit of a lost one for the junior.

Fournette did not play in two of the Tigers first four games due to injury, and the team’s game against Florida was cancelled this past weekend due to Hurricane Matthew. When he has played, he has gone for over 100 yards in each of the three games, but the Tigers have been a major disappointment this season. Some believe he should just sit out the rest of the season, and get ready to bring his talents to the NFL game.

The Carolina Panthers have a nice running back in Jonathan Stewart, but he is getting way up there in age. On Monday night, with Stewart out, the Panthers used the tandem of Fozzy Whitaker and Cameron Artis-Payne in their 17-14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Adding Fournette to the roster would take a ton of pressure off of quarterback Cam Newton, who is relied upon to take big hits trying to score in the red zone. Fournette would be a perfect compliment to Newton on offense.
