Best college football quarterback born in every state
By Roje Smith
Ohio: Joe Burrow, Ohio State and LSU
Joe Burrow delivered the greatest single-season from a college quarterback with a sublime 2019 season for the LSU Tigers. Burrow transferred from Ohio State after Dwayne Haskins won the starting job and played his final two seasons with the Bayou Bengals where he put his name all over the record books.
Burrow won the Heisman as a senior after throwing an FBS-record 60 touchdowns and led LSU to an undefeated national championship season, culminating with a win over Trevor Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers.
Roger Staubach used to be the best quarterback born in Ohio but there’s no denying the Pride of the Plains, Ohio that Burrow is the rightful owner of the spot on this list. Ohio high school football has turned out some of the best college football players of all time and Burrow, although he didn’t star for his hometown program, is one of the best to ever play the game.
