College Football Rankings: FanSided Top 25 entering Week 8
Akron decided to burn a oar, that oar is one of the symbols of Western Michigan’s “row the boat” approach. Western Michigan responded by slapping the Akron Zips 41-0 this past Saturday.
Led by Zach Terrell and Corey Davis, the Broncos made work of their MAC opponents on Saturday. Western Michigan may be on the outside looking it when it comes to the New Years Six but it’s still good to see this team assert it’s dominance each and every week. If Boise State and Louisville happen to lose, there’s a chance we may see Western Michigan fill that group of five void.
West Virginia just keeps on rolling and we might have to come to the realization that it’s not going away any time soon. Styler Howard lit up the Texas Tech secondary during Saturday’s victory and while that might not be a shock to some of you, it is a surprise to see West Virginia playing this well at this point in the season.
Many people have been waiting to see when the Mountaineers would actually live up to expectations or even exceed them since they’ve joined the Big 12. They still have a long way to go this season but it appears that West Virginia might be headed towards a showdown with Baylor for the Big 12 title and much more.
