Todd Bowles’ struggling team takes a three-game losing streak into Monday night’s tilt in the desert with the Arizona Cardinals. New York’s current head coach was Bruce Arians’ defensive coordinator a few years ago and his work with the Big Red defense not only earned him 2014 NFL Assistant Coach of the Year honors but a job with the Green and White. But the Jets’ defense has had plenty of issues this year, allowing 302.4 yards per game through the air and a dozen touchdown passes in five outings. Can the New York secondary keep Arizona’s potent passing attack under wraps? It won’t be easy.

Next Week: The Jets return home following a two-game road trip and on a short week will host the Baltimore Ravens, who will be playing at MetLife Stadium for the second consecutive Sunday. After winning the initial meeting in this series back in 1997, New York has dropped eight straight to the Ravens – three of those on New York’s home field.

Playoff hopes: You have to think that the Jets are in desperation mode these days as they haven’t played won a game since beating the Buffalo Bills on a Thursday evening in Orchard Park in Week 2. And Sunday’s results didn’t help the team’s cause as the New England Patriots, Bills and Miami Dolphins all won in convincing fashion. Bowles’ squad has dug themselves quite the hole.
. 1-4.
