Detroit Lions. 12. team. 50. Detroit has won three straight games thanks to some lucky bounces and a clutch quarterback. Matthew Stafford was 18-of-29 and threw his only touchdown of the game with 15 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Marvin Jones continues to break out after making 11 catches, and looks to be one of the best free agent signings of the offseason. He made a spectacular catch with Josh Norman wrapped around him, and caught all but one pass targeted towards him. The Lions stayed disciplined with only four penalties and zero turnovers, which was the biggest difference against a hot Redskins team.
Next Week: The Lions will travel to Houston to take on Brock Osweiler and the Texans as they look for their fourth win of the year. Houston will need Darius Slay back to cover DeAndre Hopkins after the cornerback left with a hamstring injury on Sunday afternoon. Osweiler makes a lot of mistakes, and Jim Caldwell’s defense needs to capitalize with or without Slay.

Playoff Hopes: A trip to the playoffs is on the horizon for one of the hottest teams in the NFL. Detroit will need to focus on the wildcard with Minnesota and Green Bay in-front of them, but if they continue to play well on offense they have a shot.
. 4-3. Previous:
