Previous: . Tennessee Titans. 27. team. 35. Recap: Mike Mularkey’s team fell behind the Indianapolis Colts early, took a 23-20 lead with 6:02 remaining and the Titans appeared that they just might end their nine-game losing streak in this divisional series. But the Tennessee defense rarely got heat on Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Dick LeBeau’s unit totaled two sacks but they allowed the fifth-year hurler to throw for 353 yards and three touchdowns without a turnover. Titans’ running back DeMarco Murray ran for 107 yards and a score and Tennessee got 124 yards on the ground. And while Marcus Mariota connected for touchdowns with tight end Delanie Walker and tackle-eligible Taylor Lewan, he had a fourth-quarter fumble returned for a score by Colts’ linebacker Robert Mathis.

Next Week: It’s a very short week for Mularkey and company. But at least the Titans don’t have to go anywhere as the club stays home for the third straight game. Tennessee looks to even its record at 4-4 as it hosts the last-place Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football.

Playoff hopes: The Titans have as good a chance as any of the other three teams to win the AFC South. But they haven’t helped themselves by losing both of their divisional games while posting a disappointing 1-3 record at home. This young club still lacks consistency and that takes some time to develop. But this squad is on the right track.
. 3-4
