Re-enter Ryan Fitzpatrick, who would connect with running back Matt Forte on a 13-yard touchdown pass to give Todd Bowles’ team a 14-13 lead. Baltimore countered with Justin Tucker’s 44-yard field goal on the final play for the first half but the Ravens were done scoring for the afternoon. Forte would roll up 100 of New York’s 155 yards on the ground and added a rushing touchdown as well. The Jets’ defense limited the Ravens to six yards rushing and picked off quarterback Joe Flacco twice. The team not only snapped their four-game losing streak but ended an eight-game skid in the series.
<p>Next Week: Todd Bowles’ team travels to Cleveland to take on the winless Browns. The club has lost 10 straight games dating back to last season and the Jets hope to take advantage of a team that has allowed at least 25 points in each of its seven contests this season.</p>
<p>Playoff hopes: The postseason appears to be a long way off as the Jets have a long haul just to get back to the .500 mark. But at least New York was finally able to stop the bleeding for one week.
