69. At some point the New Orleans Pelicans have to find a sustainable answer at the point guard position to pair with one of the league’s top frontcourt talents, Anthony Davis. Jrue Holiday has struggled to stay on the court for the Pelicans since joining the team three years ago. He is yet to play more than 70 games in a season with New Orleans as he’s battled various ailments.

Kentucky freshman De’Aaron Fox is another one of the litany of good point guards in the 2017 class. Although his height (6-foot-4) may keep him from being a positionally diverse defender, Fox is one of the top defensive guard prospects in the past several seasons. He is able to generate turnovers on that end because of his quick hands and good feel for the game. He also plays with a sense of engagement that often escapes many highly rated recruits coming out of high school.

The questions for Fox lie on the offensive end where his lack of a jump shot makes him a rather predictable player. The 6-foot-4 guard does have the quickness to get into the paint and the vision to be a good distributor, though. If Fox is able to progress a bit more offensively under John Calipari, then he should be one of the more well-rounded prospects come next June.
. PG. Kentucky. De'Aaron Fox. 12. player
