4. Trade with Dallas for Alfred Morris

Dallas has itself a star in rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott, so why not move Alfred Morris for some insurance elsewhere? Green Bay is in serious need of an actual running back who can shoulder the full load. Morris has played four full seasons in Washington before leaving for Dallas in the offseason without ever missing significant time due to injury.

Green Bay needs a reliable back who isn’t injury prone or a former wide receiver. Alfred Morris started his career with three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons and is more than qualified to be a number one back.

Ezekiel Elliott may be a rookie but the former Ohio State standout is playing like a man among boys this season. The rookie tandem of Elliott and Dak Prescott have elevated the Cowboys into first place in their division and top of the power rankings. Dallas is in need of a wide receiver and Green bay has plenty to spare.

I propose a trade of Alfred Morris for Jeff Janis or Davante Adams and a pick or two. The Cowboys don’t need to make this trade but the Packers are in a must-move situation. Green Bay is standing in quicksand and must make a decision. Starting a wide receiver at running back may help you beat the lowly Chicago Bears but the Packers are starting a tough stretch of their schedule and they need help ASAP.
