1. Trade for Giovani Bernard from the Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals have quite the running back duo of Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard, but Hill has emerged as a serious starter.  Green Bay would be smart to try to pry away the Bengals young scat back. Giovani Bernard has shown his ability to be a game-breaker and the Packers are in need of some firepower in their backfield.

I may be beating a dead horse here but the Packers must find a long-term solution to their running back woes, and Bernard may be the right choice. Imagine if Rodgers had an elusive running back to check down to and a power back to rely on for short-yardage situations.

Green Bay’s offensive inadequacies have mostly stemmed from not having a consistent running game and Rodgers doesn’t look like himself out there and the team seems lost. A trade for a stud running back is a smart move because Lacy tried to lose weight in the offseason, but his weight issues resurfaced before this latest injury.

Starks has proven not to be the answer Green Bay is looking for and rookie Don Jackson is unproven and untested. Bernard is the game breaking talent that the Packers run game has sorely missed.  If they can pull off a trade of this size, the season could be saved.
