High Salary SG

James Harden (11,300): Harden opened the season by torching the Lakers for 34 points while setting a career-high with 17 assists. He was the highest scoring guard on a busy Wednesday night with his 70 fantasy points. Harden should continue to dish out assists in his modified role in Mike D’Antoni’s offense making him my favorite star in tonight’s DraftKings daily picks.

Last year against Dallas, Harden averaged 24.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.8 blocks in four regular season meetings. He should be an easy bet for 20-10 tonight with an upside of producing another monster 60+ fantasy points.∗∗∗

Rodney Hood-Uath Jazz (6,200): If you can’t quite afford “The Beard,” another shooting guard who is stepping into a big role in his team’s offense is Rodney Hood. The third-year guard out of Duke opened the year with 26 points for the Jazz in their loss to Portland. With Gordon Hayward sidelined, Hood will carry more of the scoring load. However, he’ll need to produce better non-scoring stats to end up as a truly elite option. Hood and the Jazz will look to get their first win tonight in a good matchup against the Lakers.
