DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-October 28
High Value SG
Jordan Clarkson-Los Angeles Lakers (5,900): Clarkson came off the bench for coach Luke Walton on Wednesday night, but he was a key part of the run that helped the Lakers pull away down the stretch. He finished with 25 points, thr ee boards, and three steals for a solid 35.25 fantasy points in just 25 minutes. He’s a little risky because he’s in a tough matchup against Utah’s solid wing defenders, and his bench role could fluctuate from game-to-game. However, he showed how explosive he could be while keying LA’s season-opening win, so he should be a solid fantasy option moving forward. ∗∗∗
Monta Ellis-Indiana Pacers (5,300): Ellis had a balanced and productive opener while logging an intense 44 minutes against his former team from Dallas. Ellis ended up with 43.25 fantasy points on 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. He seems to be gelling with with Jeff Teague in the backcourt and getting plenty of playing time for new Pacers’ coach Nate McMillan. He may not get overtime tonight like he did on Wednesday, but he is in a good matchup against the Nets making him a nice option to take a look at at just over 5K. ∗∗∗∗
Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (3,900): Curry had 20 fantasy points in his opener against ht Pacers, but he has a more established role than Joe Harris (next up in the DraftKings daily picks) does in Brooklyn. Curry is the primary backup for both guard spots although his foul trouble did limit him to just 16 minutes against the Pacers. He made three of his four shots finishing with seven points, three rebounds, three steals, and an assist in that limited time, but if he can stay on the floor he’ll be a great option tonight against Houston. Ideally, the Mavs don’t want to play J.J. Barea as much as they had to in their first game which should let Curry run the point more for the second unit. ∗∗
Joe Harris-Brooklyn Nets (3,400): Brooklyn played much of their season-opening loss to the Celtics from behind with gave Joe Harris plenty of time and opportunity. He ended up laying 25 minutes scoring 16 points to go with four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. Harris has been shooting the lights out lately, and he should continue to offer bench production tonight against the Pacers. He probably won’t reach the 30-fantasy-point plateau often like he did in the opener, but he does offer some scoring spark off the bench for Brooklyn. He’s a high-risk, high-reward option tonight.∗∗∗
