Rudy Gobert runs the floor for huge fast break dunk (Video)

Rudy Gobert is one of the best up and coming big men in the association. The Frenchmen showed a glimpse of that on this fastbreak slam.
After missing the playoffs by just a mere game a season ago, the upstart Utah Jazz fully expect to reach postseason play for the first time since 2012. When looking at their roster, there’s no denying the amount of talent Utah possesses. From Gordon Hayward to Rodney Hood to Rudy Gobert, the Jazz have a plethora of young talent.
However, Utah realized for them to reach the next level, they needed to add some veteran experience, which is why they brought in the likes of George Hill, Joe Johnson and Boris Diaw. In a very competitive western conference, every single game holds a certain amount of importance. As mentioned before, Utah missed the playoffs by one game, so they know more than anybody.
Today, the Jazz traveled to Los Angeles to face the Clippers. Many expect the Clippers to finish with a top four seed once again, but no one expects them to make major noise in the playoffs. Nonetheless, this is a big test for the Jazz.
During a fast break, Gobert displayed how he’s capable of running the floor, even for a seven footer.
In today’s NBA, it’s becoming a trend to see big men such as Gobert being capable of running the floor with smaller guards. Back in the day, the association was much slower, as teams relied on their big men to play with their back-to-the-basket.
Not only do we see seven footers such as Gobert running the floor efficiently, it’s becoming normal to see them spread the floor as well. Just look at the 7-foot-3 Kristaps Porzingis. While some don’t like the new NBA, it’s an exciting brand of basketball.
