Buffalo Bills. 21. team. 16. Just like last season’s 40-32 home loss to the Patriots in Week 2, Sunday’s 16-poiunt setback wasn’t really as close as the final score may appear. Buffalo’s final eight points of the game came with only 30 seconds remaining in the contest. The Bills’ pass rush sacked Tom Brady four times and he still managed to throw for 315 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. Rex Ryan’s squad also allowed New England to convert 69 percent of their third-down attempts (9-of-13). On the other hand, one big positive was the fact that the team managed to run for 167 yards without LeSean McCoy on Sunday.
Next Week: It certainly doesn’t get any easier. The Bills travel cross country to the Pacific Northwest to clash with the Seattle Seahawks. The perennial contenders have already disposed of a pair of AFC East teams this season in the Dolphins and Jets and their defense will provide a stiff challenge for Buffalo’s rejuvenated offense.

Playoff hopes: At 4-4, Ryan’s team is certainly in the hunt. Although the team has dropped two straight, there’s a lot to be positive about here. On the other hand, the Bills are just 1-4 within their own conference and 1-3 vs. their AFC East rivals. Buffalo’s lack of consistency may eventually prove to be their undoing.
. 4-4. Previous:
