19. team. 59. After dropping four of their first five games, including a home loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 5, Adam Gase’s club has suddenly reversed its fortunes. Thanks in large part to second-year running back Jay Ajayi and his back-to-back 200-plus yard rushing efforts against Pittsburgh and Buffalo, the Dolphins took a two-game winning streak into their off week. But this is still a team that is underachieving on the defensive side of the ball, especially when it comes to stopping the run. But Miami’s revitalized ground attack is limiting the amount of time that Vance Joseph’s unit stays on the field.
Next Week: It’s back to business for the surging ‘Fins, who will cap off four consecutive home games with a visit from the struggling New York Jets. Conference wins over the Browns, Steelers and Bills certainly help Miami’s cause, as does the fact that the team is playing better football at the moment. But there’s lots of work to be done.
. 3-4. Previous: . Miami Dolphins
